Annual Pumpkin Parade
In 2007 the Chetopa Chamber of Commerce put all their resources together and started an annual Pumpkin Parade for the kids of the Chetopa Community. Held on Halloween night annually, this event offers a safe alternative to Trick or Treating, or a fun addition whichever you prefer. Since that time, Chetopa's annual Pumpkin Parade has grown into one of the Largest Community Events of the year. With over 300 kids attending each year and over 20 businesses, churches, & associations participating in the event each year, the Pumpkin Parade always promises filled treat bags and smiling faces. Once the line dies down just enough, the costume contest begins with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for age groups beginning at birth up to 6th grade children. Whether your a parent or just a local citizen looking to be involved in your Community, this event promises to be one you will want to be a part of .
